Flood death toll reaches four

A car drives through flood water on the A167 in NewcastleBritain has been battered by more storms as the death toll from two days of relentless rain rose to four.

A 17-year-old girl on holiday in Wales, a motorcyclist travelling through North Yorkshire and a young couple from Plymouth all died in treacherous conditions on the roads.

Teenager stabbed to death

Police officers at the scene on New Lane in Winton, SalfordPolice said they want to trace a man wearing a grey top and black trousers in connection with the fatal stabbing of a 17-year-old boy.

The youth died following an altercation on a petrol station forecourt in Salford, Greater Manchester.
